About Rockyspring Tech

Who we are

Rockyspring Tech Inc. is a small software company based in Calgary, Alberta. We build practical, focused tools that solve real problems — starting in the sawmill yard.

Our first product, Roughcut, grew out of a simple frustration: tallying board feet on rough, undimensioned lumber is slow, error-prone work. We put the measuring tape, calculator, and notepad into one app that does it in seconds with the LiDAR scanner already in your pocket.

We keep our software the way we like our lumber: solid, honest, and without the veneer. No accounts, no ads, no data harvesting — just tools that work.
